BOHEMIA ON WRY

Bohemia on Wry, presented at Theater for the New City in 1999-2000, consisted of two one-act plays, “Beauty and the Beat” and “Lifestyles of the Poor and Bohemian,” both written by Richard West and directed by Lissa Moira.

“Beauty and the Beat” is an affectionate parody of On the Road (Jack Kerouac) and Off the Road (Carolyn Cassidy).

“Lifestyles of the Poor and Bohemian” is the saga of some of the last hippy holdouts of Humboldt County told in parody, song and farce.
